Raise Review60 minutes, 1:1 with Diana$200

Make investors see what you see.

Everyone has an opinion on your round and your deck, and they don't agree. I'm Diana, and in one hour I'll show you which round to raise, who to raise it from, what they'll expect from your startup, and whether your pitch deck is sending the right message.

Worth it or it's free. And if we keep working together within 7 days, the full $200 comes off your first invoice.

Sound familiar?

Everyone has advice on your raise. None of it agrees.

Every person you show your deck to says something different.

A mentor says cut it to ten slides, an investor says add a five-year forecast. You change everything and still don't know what's right.

You're not sure which round you're raising.

Is pre-seed or seed better? Is this amount the right one? How much equity should you give away? SAFE/ASA, convertible or equity? What's the right valuation?

You send the same deck to every investor.

Angels, VCs, corporate VCs and family offices invest for different reasons. Your deck tells all of them the same story.

You don't know what investors expect at your stage.

So you can't tell if you're ready, what's missing, or why you hear “too early”, “call us when you've got a lead”, “keep us updated”, or nothing at all.

I give you certainty and clarity: one expert answer, based on your round and the investors you're raising from.

The call

Five questions, answered in one hour

I read your deck, or your notes, before the call. Then I spend the hour on the decisions that matter for your raise.

  1. 110 min

Which round are you really raising?

Pre-seed or seed, how much to ask for, how much equity to give away, which instrument and at what valuation. Get this wrong and you spend months talking to investors who were never going to fund you.

0 → 2 meetings. After I set his round properly, one of my clients went from zero investor replies to two meetings in the first week.

  2. 210 min

Who should you raise it from?

Angels, VCs, corporate VCs or family offices. I'll tell you which type fits your round and who to approach first, because each one needs to see a different pitch deck.

  3. 310 min

What will they expect from your startup?

What that type of investor needs to see at your stage, from traction and team to market and numbers. You'll know where you stand and what's still missing.

  4. 420 min

Is your pitch deck sending the right message?

I've built 100+ pitch decks, so I know what a deck needs to have in it and in what order. I'll go through yours for the investors you're raising from: what works, what to change and what's missing. One clear answer instead of ten contradictory ones.

  5. 510 min

What do you do in the next 30 days?

You leave with your next steps, in order. If there's a fit, I'll also tell you how we could keep working together.

What they came with, what we did, what changed.

Pavel Nayyer · CTO, SmartGridGo

From no investor replies to two meetings in the first week

Pavel's investor outreach was getting no replies. We kept the planned raise, but improved the positioning, wrote new messages and found investors whose focus matched the business. He booked two investor meetings in the first week.

“I wouldn’t say it was a good decision. I would say it was a great decision.”

Steve Falk · Founder, Data4Living

From a stalled raise to a deck he calls “10 times better”

Steve was new to fundraising, a couple of investor conversations had gone nowhere and there was no plan to follow up. We defined his round and strategy, mapped the competition to sharpen what makes Data4Living different, and refined his deck.

“I’m much better prepared now than we were before.”

Nick Bloomfield · Founder, EmberX

He had a product and an £800,000 raise in mind. He needed a plan for raising it.

Nick had a working product and no plan for the raise. We helped him understand what angels and VCs look for, frame the round as pre-seed, and shift the pitch from users to the businesses EmberX serves. The raise is still underway, with a much clearer plan.

“I think that you guys helped us to refine our pitch in a way that we didn’t see.”

Ștefan Tecuceanu · Founder, Lectorix

From several technical ideas to one investor-ready business

We compared the markets behind his ideas, then built the positioning, financial model and fundraising materials, prepared him for investor meetings and used their feedback to sharpen the approach. He is now in discussions with investors.

“It is not a cost. I believe it’s an investment in the company’s future.”

Delian Petrov & Lawrence Stevens · Co-founders, FridgeGuide AI

A new B2B story and materials they were proud to send

As they shifted towards helping food banks reduce waste, we built the pitch deck and financial model with them, ready for accelerator applications and conversations with VCs, within tight deadlines.

“The financial model specifically blew me away because we had such a difficult time calculating that on our own.”

Who you'll talk to

Hi, I'm Diana

Diana Dragan, co-founder of utopiapitch, at her desk
  • Started at Founder Institute, the world's largest pre-seed accelerator
  • Built 4 accelerator programs of my own
  • Partner in a micro-VC
  • Forbes 30 Under 30, MBA
  • 300+ rounds strategized with founders across the US, Europe and the Gulf
Why I run these calls

Most founders I talk to don't need more advice. They've had plenty, and most of it contradicts itself. One person says the deck is too long, another says it's missing detail, an investor says it's too early. After a while you stop knowing what to trust.

I've spent years on both sides of the table: building accelerator programs, investing as a partner in a micro-VC, and getting founders ready for the investors in front of them. The biggest thing I've learned is that there's no single right pitch deck. There's the right deck for your round, and for the investors you're raising from. An angel reads a deck very differently from a VC, a corporate fund or a family office.

That's what this hour is for. I'll tell you which round makes sense for you right now, who to raise it from, what they'll expect to see, and what your deck needs to show them. You'll leave knowing what to do next, and why.

FAQ

Before you book

Why is this call paid?

Because it's a working session, not a sales call. I read your deck before we meet and spend the full hour on your raise. If it isn't worth $200 to you, tell me before the call ends and you get it back. If we keep working together within 7 days, the $200 comes off your first invoice.

My pitch deck was made with AI. Is that a problem?

No. Investors don't care how a deck was made. They care whether it sends the right message for your round and has the information they expect to see. That's what I check, whatever tool you used.

What if I don't have a pitch deck yet?

That's fine. I'll send you a simple structure to follow, and you can send me the key information as a few notes. It doesn't need to be a document.

What do I need to send before the call?

Your pitch deck, or the key information about your startup. A link is fine. Book at least a day ahead so I have time to read it.

Can my co-founder join?

Yes, and I recommend it. Add their email when you book. There's no extra cost.

What happens after the call?

You take the plan and run it yourself, or, if there's a fit, we keep working together. I'll tell you more on the call, and send you the details with my notes and your plan.

How do refunds and rescheduling work?

If the call wasn't worth it to you, tell me before it ends and I'll refund the $200 in full. To reschedule, use the link in your booking email.
