Case study
Helping a solo founder focus her first raise
Florina Minzat · Solo founder
Florina came to her first fundraise with conviction and ambition. She also had many decisions to make at once: how to structure the raise, which advice to follow and what to work on next. As she put it, she had “139 tabs open” in her brain.
Cutting through the noise
Fundraising advice was coming from several directions, often with different answers. Florina needed a way to decide which questions mattered now and which could wait. Working with Diana and Alex gave her room to think those decisions through without feeling that she was behind.
Diana helped Florina rethink and restructure her fundraising strategy and approach. Together, they identified the priorities that would move the raise forward and worked through the practical steps, rather than stopping at advice about what she should do.
Building the next version
Florina’s account also recognises that a business plan, go-to-market strategy and product can evolve while a founder builds the company. The work has therefore been iterative. Her pitch deck is being finalised, and the fundraising process is still underway.
The next goal is to use a clearer story and plan to begin conversations with angels who fit the business.
“They’re not interested in just talking about fundraising. They’re interested in moving it forward.”Florina Minzat
What changed for Florina
Florina describes the value of patient, practical support from people willing to work alongside her. She now has a more focused approach to the raise and help turning that approach into action. The completed deck and investor conversations are the next stage of the story.
If you are raising for the first time and need help deciding what matters next, we can work through the strategy and the materials with you.
